Demand Planning Revamp

This project centered around revamping how this company created, interacted with, and communicated their demand planning information.

Original state: 15+ static excel sheets, manually updated and worked through each month - consuming over 194 hours between departments. Metrics that were tracked were hard to attach tangible action to and often misrepresented performance. Most presentations are "reporting news as the news."

Results: 1 file refreshed within 2 minutes - built off of database connections and clean power query flows. Successfully turned the Demand Planning Data Janitor into a Demand Planning Analyst. Implemented new forecast accuracy and bias metrics that can drive down to specific issues to attack with direct action. Refocused executive S&OP communication with problem solving based strategy.
